Signet
Approval sign-off for any Jira project, on any plan — free for small teams, with the per-type rules and audit trail native approvals leave out.
The problem
Core Jira has no built-in approvals — sign-off lives in chat, email or a status nobody trusts. Approvals on Software and Business projects need to be askable, answerable and recorded, without bolting on a heavyweight process.
How it works
Set a policy
On any issue, a project admin names the approvers and picks whether it needs any one, a quorum, or all of them to agree — single- and multi-approver, both free.
Approvers decide
Each approver approves or rejects with a reason, right on the issue; the decision is recorded — who, what, when.
Keep the record
Signet shows the live state — pending, approved or rejected — and the full decision trail, on the issue itself. Built on Forge, no data egress.
A Datum app
Like every Datum app, Signet is Forge-native and runs inside your own Jira site — free for up to 10 users, with a single honest paid plan after. No separate sign-up, no data leaving your tenant. Why Datum →

FAQ
Which Jira does it cover?
Jira Software and Business projects — where native approvals don't exist. It pairs with Trailkeeper for a full audit trail.
What's free?
The core, on any Jira plan: single- and multi-approver sign-off (any / quorum / all), approve or reject with a reason, and an auditable decision record. Standard adds required approvers per issue type, approval history with CSV export, and overdue-approval reminders.
Is my data safe?
Signet is built on Forge and runs entirely on Atlassian's infrastructure. It reads issue context and stores the policy and decisions in Forge app storage, in your tenant — nothing is sent outside Atlassian.
